I don’t usually buy clothing this expensive but I knew this jacket would become an old stand-by as soon as I saw it. I could see the attention and craftsmanship that went into the making of it and I knew the hand-made quality would be felt in the garment every time I wore it.
After learning the story of the designer and how she chose to produce her vision, I wanted to be a customer. I wanted some of my energy (money) to go toward this company as an expression of thanks for the dedication and intention that she and her team put toward bringing these beautiful articles to life.
Each garment is designed in New York and then handcrafted in a family-run tailoring workshop in India.
I know I say this a lot but it’s true for this one too. Compliments, every time I wear it. It’s different. It’s obviously crafted, not just produced and people love to see stuff like that. It’s out of the ordinary and always piques attention. I’m basically a brand ambassador at every grocery store. “I love your jacket... sweater... thing.”
Just yesterday at New Moon in Truckee a tall man with corduroy pants commented, “cool pink.”

Producing one small order at a time allows us to foster strong, personal relationships with local artisans and ensure all of our tailors receive a fair wage.
This is what it’s about right? Living with intention? Making with intention? We have nature and nature basically gives us everything. But we have this instinct to create and share our creations.
The more we fill our lives with unique creations, creations with soul, the more we honor the creative spirit that runs through each one of us. Wearing this sweater... jacket... thing... makes me feel taken care of. It makes me feel beautiful.
